The Franklin Police Department responded to 34 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
3/7/14 @ 4:46 PM, Nettie Willis, 23, of Canal Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Theft of Goods Under $300.00 and Remaining Where Forbidden. Willis was processed and released on a $1500.00 bond.
3/8/14 @ 4:17 AM, Gregory Boykins, 23, of Wall St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Monetary Instrument Abuse (4 Counts). Boykins was also arrested on a warrant for Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for Failure to Appear on the charge of Disturbing the Peace by Fighting and Resisting an Officer. Boykins was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
3/8/14 @ 4:01 PM, John Loustalot, 29, of Cayce St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Attempted Vehicle Burglary. Officers received a complaint of a person pulling on car door handles in the parking lot of a local business. Loustalot was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
3/8/14 @ 9:53 PM, Reggie Ireland, 26, of Augustine Maze, Franklin, LA, was arrested on a bench warrant for Third Ward City Court for the charges of No Turn Signal, No Insurance, and No Child Restraint. Ireland was processed and released on a $415.00 cash bond.
3/10/14 @ 6:57 AM, Clarence Clark, 45, of Hamilton St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on warrants held by this department on the charges of Second Degree Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, Second Degree Battery with Medical Attention, Attempted Second Degree Murder, and Reckless Operation of a Vehicle. The warrants are dated March 4, 2014. While in a vehicle owned by the victim, Clark allegedly struck the victim several times. Clark then took possession of the vehicle with the victim inside and drove at a high rate of speed until the vehicle was crashed into a curb. Clark turned himself into the Franklin Police Department where he was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
