The Franklin Police Department responded to 46 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrest:
11/2/13 @ 2:57, Dean Darby, 23, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Disturbing The Peace and Simple Assault on a Police Officer. Officers responded to a disturbance complaint on Iberia St. Darby was yelling and threatened police officers. Darby was processed and released on a $500.00 bond.
11/2/13 @ 3:16 AM, Debra Charles, 54, of Gum St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Careless Operation of A Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense). Charles had a blood alcohol content of .08%. Charles was processed and released on a $2500.00 bond to appear in Third Ward City Court.
11/2/13 @ 7:53 AM, Michael Payton, 25, of Liner St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on two warrants for Third Ward City Court for Failure To Appear on the charges of Simple Battery and Disturbing The Peace. The second warrant for Third Ward City Court is for Failure To Appear on the charges of Criminal Trespass, Resisting An Officer with Force (3 Counts), and Disturbing The Peace By Intoxication. Payton was also arrested on a warrant for Iberia Parish charging him with NSF. Payton was processed and held on a $487.50 cash bond, $686.50 cash bond, and no bond set for the Iberia Parish Warrant.
