The Franklin Police Department responded to 10 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
10/21/13 @ 11:24 AM, Jarell Roberson-McDaniel, 29, of Willow St., Lafayette, LA, was arrested on warrants dated September 1, 2013 charging him with Resisting An Officer With Force and Violence (3 Counts), Reckless Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Disturbing The Peace By Loud Profane Language, Failure To Comply With Command To Disperse, and Stop Sign and Yield Sign Violation. Roberson-McDaniel turned himself into the Franklin Police Station. The arrest stems from an incident at a local gas station where a large crowd gathered and officers tried to disperse the crowd. Roberson-McDaniel began yelling at officers, and then drove off at a high rate of speed and refusing to stop for officers. Roberson-McDaniel was processed and held on a $8000.00 bond.
10/21/13 @ 12:58 PM, Shawn Jackson, 25, of Pecan Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for Failure To Appear on the charge of No Drivers License. Jackson was processed and held on a $210.00 cash bond.
