The Franklin Police Department responded to 13 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
7/26/2012 @ 6:39 AM, JOEL ANDREW LOUSTALOT, 25, of Cayce Street - Franklin, LA
THE FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT ALONG WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE ST. MARY PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE ARRESTED JOEL LOUSTALOT, 25, OF CAYCE STREET IN FRANKLIN, LOUISIANA. MR. LOUSTALOT WAS CHARGED WITH SIMPLE BURGLARY AND POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON. HE WAS ALSO PROCESSED ON A WARRANT ISSUED BY 16TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, CHARGING HIM WITH FAILURE TO APPEAR. MR. LOUSTALOT WAS PROCESSED AND HELD WITH NO BOND SET AT TIME OF PRESS RELEASE TO APPEAR IN 16TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT.
7/26/2012 @ 9:34 AM, SHAWN TYRONE JENKINS, 35, of Josephine Street - Franklin, LA
was arrested on a warrant dated July 20, 2012, charging him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Mr. Jenkins was processed and held with no bond set at time of press release to appear in 16th Judicial District Court.
7/26/2012 @ 12:45 PM, JEREMIAH JERMAIN SMITH, 20, of Ninth Street - Franklin, LA
was arrested and charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight. Mr. Smith was also processed on a warrant issued by 3rd Ward City Court, charging him with Failure To Appear on traffic charges. Mr. Smith was processed and released on a $265.00 cash fine and a $1000.00 bond to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.
