Franklin begins baseball registration

The City of Franklin will kick off its third year of youth baseball this summer at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center. The Broussard-Harris Summer Baseball League is open to boys and girls 9 to 12 years old.

Parents can fill out enrollment forms at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center and Franklin Recreation Center. Children must have health insurance at the time of enrollment. Registration is April 22, 23 and 24 at Franklin Recreation Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The season will begin May 27 at 6 p.m. at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center.

Additionally, the League is recruiting volunteers. Individuals, parents, churches, businesses and community organizations are encouraged to volunteer as coaches, umpires and concession stand workers.
