Four people were rescued from a helicopter that crashed this morning in the Gulf of Mexico.
According to a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman, a nearby supply vessel was able to rescue four people from the aircraft, which crash approximately 30 miles northeast of Venice in Block 108.
According to Coast Guard sources, a Coast Guard helicopter evacuated two of the people rescued to the LSU Medical Center New Orleans.
It is not known at this time who owned the helicopter or if any other passengers were on board at the time of the crash.
