Four people have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a pizza delivery man in Iberia Parish. Sheriff's deputies have charged 18-year-old Gregory Jones, Jr., with armed robbery, while 18-year-old Kyle Burgess was charged with principal to armed robbery. Two juveniles were also booked in connection with the crime. One was charged with being a principal to armed robbery; the other was charged as an accessory to armed robbery.
Investigators say one of the juveniles ordered pizza Tuesday night to an abandoned house on Neco Town Road. When the delivery man arrived, Burgess, Jones, and the other juvenile allegedly met the delivery man at his car and robbed him at gunpoint. A neighbor says the crime was stopped only when his daughter turned into a nearby driveway and scare the suspects away.
Burgess and Jones are being held in the Iberia Parish Jail. The juveniles have been released to the custody of their parents.
