FORT POLK, La. (AP) - A soldier based at Fort Polk has been
found dead in his home on the central Louisiana Army base.
Military officials say the soldier's body was found about 6 a.m.
Wednesday by his wife, who called emergency personnel.
The soldier was transported to Bayne-Jones Army Community
Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An Army spokesman says preliminary findings revealed no signs of
foul play. However, the cause of death remains under investigation.
