Former State Rep. Gives Campaign Funds to St. Jude

A former state representative has donated her campaign war chest to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Clara Baudoin recently wrote a check for $19,310.53 and presented it to St. Jude representative Andrea Courville. Baudoin said she held on to the money in case she wanted to run for office again, but she says she has no plans to do so. Baudoin said she selected St. Jude because the hospital has helped numerous children from Louisiana--including some from her district--and because of the increasing children's cancer survival rates.
