Former St. Martin Deputy receives probation for indecent behavior

A former St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputy pleaded guilty to charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile. In February, Michael Touchet, of 1201 Columbus Ave. in Morgan City, was arrested and charged with ten counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. He's accused of having electronic conversations with the juvenile for about a month.
His five year sentence was suspended, and Toucet has been placed on five years supervised probation. He's required to register as a sex offender. Touchet was fired as soon as the St. Martin Parish Sheriff found out about his arrest.
