Former nurse to be sentenced for sexual battery

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A former Rapides Regional Medical Center nurse who was found guilty last month in the sexual battery of a sleeping patient will be sentenced Friday in state court in Alexandria.
The Town Talk reports Phillip Wayne Raines of Deville faces up to 10 years in prison without parole.
Judge Thomas Yeager said at Raines' trial that he would consider Raines' military record in deciding a sentence.
A jury of six deliberated for less than an hour on April 19 before finding Raines guilty.
