Former LSU Football Star Mickey Mangham Dies

Former LSU receiver and Chairman of the Lafayette Metropolitan Expressway Commission, Mickey R. Mangham has passed away. Mangham died this morning at the age of 71. He was a star LSU Fighting Tiger Football player from 1958-1960. Mangham is known catching the pass that secured the national title for the Tigers in 1958. LSU won that game against Clemson 7-0. Mangham spent his career as an attorney. He most recently resided in Lafayette.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9:00 AM until time of services at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.

Services will be at Episcopal Church of the Ascension at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 18, 2010 with visiting afterward at the Mangham home.
