Former IceGator Passes Away

According to the Louisiana Ice Gators' Facebook Page, former IceGator Derek Boogaard passed away yesterday.
Boogaard played for the Louisiana IceGators in the 02-03 season, he was known for his physical style of play. He played for the New York Rangers in appeared in 22 games with them this past season. Boogaard will be missed by friends, family and fans, but he will always remain a part of the Louisiana IceGator family.
Our condolences go out to the Boogaard family.
