Former Head of Steen Syrup Mill Dies

Abbeville is mourning the loss of a prominent businessman. Albert Steen, Sr., died Wednesday at the age of 89. Steen was the president of C. S. Steen Syrup Mill, Inc., for over 30 years. Steen was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific as a member of the Navy.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6 from 10:00 A. M. until 2:00 P. M. at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately after visitation.
