A former New Orleans police officer accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her Washington Parish home after he installed her satellite television, has turned himself in to sheriff's deputies.
Deputies say Jermaine Lacour arrived surrendered just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with his mother and grandmother.
A warrant for Lacour's arrest had been issued on a forcible rape charge.
Deputies say Lacour went to a woman's on May 29 to install television service.
The New Orleans Police Department fired Lacour in January after an Orleans Parish jury convicted him of illegal use of a weapon. He was charged with firing a handgun outside his former girlfriend's home in 2010.
It was unclear whether Lacour has an attorney.
