ALBANY, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested Albany High School former head football coach Bradley N. Ficklin and booked him with theft and malfeasance.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Steele says in a news release that the 34-year-old Ficklin is accused of failing to turn in $4,000 he raised between Aug. 1 and Dec. 18 to buy an inflatable tunnel for the football team.
Steele says the money was never deposited into the team's account and Albany High eventually purchased the tunnel with separate funds.
Deputies booked Ficklin on Friday with one count of malfeasance and six counts of theft.
It was unclear whether Ficklin has an attorney.
