BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A former Baton Rouge City Constable's Office employee has admitted to stealing nearly $30,000 that was paid to the office's garnishment department.
37-year-old Catina Hayman of Zachary
pleaded guilty Monday to one count each of felony theft and
malfeasance.
State District Judge Lou Daniel gave Hayman a suspended
seven-year prison term, put her on active supervised probation for five years, and ordered her to perform 300 hours of community service and pay $29,120 in restitution.
