Fontenot Makes First Court Appearance

The suspect in a fatal weekend shooting made his first court appearance this afternoon. The attorney for Seth Fontenot filed a motion to set bail on the first-degree murder charge and to reduce the bond on the attempted first-degree murder charges. A hearing date has not yet been set.
Fontenot is accused of firing shots early Sunday morning at a truck driving along Green Meadow Drive. The three teens in the truck were struck. One of them, 15-year-old Austin Rivault, died from his wounds.
