Florida man dies in St. Mary Parish crash

A Florida man was killed following a crash on Highway 90 in St. Mary Parish. Troopers say just before 2:00 this morning, a 2007 Ford truck driven by 48-year-old Roger Goza of Pensacola, FL, was traveling west on US Highway 90. Troopers say Goza failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the road, and struck a private drive causing his vehicle to overturn. Goza, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Mary Parish Coroner.
Troopers suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
