Five law enforcement agencies "Intensive" manhunt for Brian Keith Soileau

A manhunt is happening now to find jail escapee and accused bank robber, 42-year-old Brian Keith Soileau. Although his current location in unknown, Soileau is believed to be driving a tan Chevrolet or GMC pickup, possibly a step side, with a flat tan cover over the bed of the truck, according to Sgt. James Anderson with State Police Troop D. Soileau was last seen traveling west on LA 10 from LA 13. He's accused of robbing Guaranty Bank in Vidrine in Evangeline Parish around 9:18 this morning.

A bank manager said Soileau walked into the bank wearing a baseball cap and brandished a handgun. It is believed he got away with $11,000-$12,000. No one was hurt in the robbery. "Law enforcement officers from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police Troops D, E, and I, the Louisiana State Police Air Support Unit, and the U.S. Marshals are conducting an intensive manhunt for Soileau," Anderson said.

Soileau escaped from the Pine Prairie Detention Center October 13. "Soileau was doing state time for aggravated burglary and other pending charges," Anderson said.

Soileau is believed to be armed and dangerous. "If located, do not approach," Anderson said. Dial 911 and notify your nearest law enforcement agency. Cell phone callers may also contact State Police directly by dialing *LSP (*577).
