Five arrested after alleged Eunice home invasion, beating

A Lafayette man and four Ville Platte residents are behind bars following an alleged home invasion in Eunice.

Kalon Frank, Kaleb Seraille, and three juveniles are charged with home invasion, armed robbery, and illegal carrying of weapons in connection with the incident.

Police were called to a home at the corner of Benoit and Cotton Streets around 5 a.m. Sunday.

According to police, the suspects broke into a home and beat the three residents with a metal pole and a wooden stick. Police say the suspects took the victims' car keys and drove away in their car.

Lafayette police arrested the quintet about an hour later after investigators used GPS tracking to find their location.

The three juveniles are being held in the Eunice City Jail. Frank and Seraille remain in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
