BENTON, La. (AP) Bossier Parish authorities are investigating after fishermen discovered a body in Red Chute Bayou.
The men spotted the body floating face down in a tangle of brush just south of the U.S. Highway 80 bridge over the bayou about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Bossier Parish sheriff's spokesman Ed Baswell says the body appears to have been in the water for some time. He says they expect a report from the Bossier Parish coroner on the victim's identity and cause of death on Friday.
