DONALDSONVILLE, La. (AP) - A search will resume at dawn for a Livingston man whose uncle's body was found Sunday in the Mississippi River near Donaldsonville.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries spokesman Adam Einck says Joshua Peters, in his 20s, and 58-year-old Larry Peters, of Slaughter, went fishing Saturday in a 14-foot flat-bottomed boat.
He says Ascension Parish sheriff's deputies recovered Larry Peters' body after tugboat workers reported a body floating in the river Sunday morning. Einck says it was not wearing a life vest.
Einck said Saturday that wildlife agents, the Coast Guard and deputies from East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishes searched all day for Joshua Peters.
Einck says the two launched their boat under the Interstate 10 Bridge in Baton Rouge. He doesn't know whether they were reported missing.
