Festival International de Louisiane kicks off Wednesday afternoon and the forecast for it couldn't be better.
A ridge of high pressure will take over the region Wednesday and will be responsible for the quiet forecast.
Temperatures will be making their way into the low 80s for the rest of the week, and even the lows will stay mild with most nights getting down into the mid 60s.
A storm system will move north of Acadiana on Thursday and although it will be far enough away that showers will remain out of the forecast, it will lead to an increase in cloud cover Thursday.
Regardless of the increase in clouds temperatures will stay mild and patchy sunshine will still be with us in the afternoon.
The rest of the work week looks quiet with mostly sunny skies expected, with the next chance of rain moving in on Monday.
As temperatures warm up please make sure you are drinking plenty of water if you're out at Festival this year, and even with a few clouds make sure to put on that sunscreen.
That being said I hope everyone enjoys the weather and has a great time at Festival International de Louisiane.
