Fire Destroys Camper

Fire destroyed a camper at 803 MLK Jr. Drive in Lafayette.
Fire investigator Alton Trahan says nobody was home when firefighters responded at 3:15 p.m.
One person was injured - a neighbor hurt his hands while breaking a window checking to see if anyone was inside. He has minor injuries.
The camper sits next to Sid's One Stop grocery store which had minor roof damage. The fire originated in the interior of the camper. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
