Fire Chief Drowns on Lake Ouachita

A community is mourning the sudden death of its fire chief. Damien Aguillard drowned Saturday while vacationing with family on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas.
Aguillard's body was discovered east of an area known as Crawdad Island. He was the fire chief for the Vidrine Volunteer Fire Department in Evangeline Parish.
He leaves behind a wife and four children. An account has been set up at Citizen's Bank to help the family with funeral expenses. Ardoin Funeral home is handling services.
