Firefighters say the fire at Greystone Apartments in Lafayette was caused by a lightning strike. Firefighters say they arrived at the complex on Reserve Drive at 4:24 this afternoon to find heavy smoke coming from the exterior of one of the buildings. They opened the exterior wall and found a small fire burning inside the wall. The damage was contained to the exterior of the building, and there was light smoke damage to two apartments.
