Fight at Acadiana Mall leaves one in critical condition

Lafayette Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a parking lot fight.
On Thursday, December 15, 2011 at approximately 8:20 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a fight in progress on the parking lot of Acadiana Mall, near the food court entrance. Prior to police arriving, the parties involved in the fight fled the scene. At some point after the fight occurred, one of the persons involved was transported to an area hospital, with a head injury, and is listed in critical condition.
A Mall of Acadiana official says,"The safety of our customers is our greatest concern. All authorities couldn't have responded any quicker. It was within minutes."
