It's been a five day celebration of music, food, and everything that makes Louisiana great, but the 27th annual Festival International is now in the books. As another festival comes to a close, organizers are overwhelmed at the attendance from both festival goers and volunteers.
Apiyo Obala, Marketing Director for Festival International De Louisiane says, "(There's) Over 2,500 volunteers that have helped keep the festival successful. Just record-breaking crowds, and the weather has cooperated with us so we're very happy about.but overall it's just been a fantastic and phenomenal year."
All week we asked people what their favorite thing is about festival, whether it be the food, the music or the atmosphere. But today with everything winding down, we wanted to know what everyone is going to miss about their favorite time of year.

Grace Brignac says, "I practically live downtown, so I'm going to miss just being here and knowing everyone I know is going to be here."
No matter who I spoke to today, everyone seemed to agree on one thing--togetherness.
"I'm going to miss all of the different cultures here, represented from different places from all over the world. I love to see that--to meet new people and to bring new people into our town and to show them what we have to offer," says festival goer Kimberly Kidder.
Andy Boagni from Zea's Restaurant says, "We'll miss being out here and touching people. It's not just about sales; it's about making people happy."
And while festival goers are already looking forward to next year's events, saying goodbye to this year's festival won't be any easier.
"It's going to be kind of a sad feeling when I wake up tomorrow and I know that it's over," says Lauren Garrett
