With thousands on the streets of downtown Lafayette, local businesses are bringing in thousands of dollars. Festival is always crowded, but this year places like Marley's and Legends are seeing more business than they have in the past.
"This week alone from Wednesday on, it's been crazy so far, but its been good," said Barry Bienvenu an employee at Marley's.
Location is everything. The patio is directly across from the main stage at Parc International and when Festival is in full swing, business is booming.
"About 11:30 the last show happens and then everybody moseys this way, lines start forming at the door and drinks start flowing," said Bienvenu. "Last night was pretty crazy, but I would imagine tonight is going to be the busiest night."
During Festival each bar doubles their business, increasing sales each night by more than $10,000.
"Festival is a great time of the year, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now," said Bienvenu.
Although it is the place to be all the bar owners encourage everyone to have a designated driver.
