SCARDSDALE, La. (AP) - Plaquemines Parish authorities say the ferry that crosses the Mississippi River between Belle Chasse and Scarsdale will be out of service from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
During this time the ferry landing will be closed for its annual inspection by the Coast Guard.
Authorities said a ferry will continue to run during this period farther downriver between Pointe-a-la-Hache and West Pointe-a-la-Hache.
