CHALMETTE, La. (AP) - St. Bernard Parish has been given $5.4 million to replace water meters damaged after Hurricane Katrina.
The funding, from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, reimburses the parish for the cost of fitting out new meters.
Water driven by Katrina flooded almost all of the New Orleans suburb when the storm struck in August 2005.
