State Police are asking for you to help solve a fatal hit and run that happened just outside Youngsville back in December.
It was on Louisiana 339 near Perkins Road in the early morning hours on December 23rd.
37-year-old Heath Falterman was killed.
Now, his family wants to know who hit him.
Falterman's father, Charles, says he goes to his son's home every weekend.

"It's where we find peace," He said.

Just miles away from Heath's home, a cross was placed on the side of LA 339 in Vermilion parish.
It's where heath took his final breath.
Falterman's car broke down on the side of the road. When he got out, another car hit him.

"Just wish we could have him back," Charles said.

Now, Charles has just pictures and memories. Every day, wondering who hit his son and why they drove away.

"I don't think we'll ever find closure." Charles says, "but it would be close to it."

If you have any information about the hit and run that caused Falterman's death, you can contact Louisiana State Police.
