A case of lying about the age of one Acadiana High School student has made its way to the desk of the LHSAA Executive Director says LHSAA spokeswoman Becky French. She said that Acadiana High self-reported the case to the LHSAA and it is up to the Executive Director to rule on what happens next to the student and his parents. According to Acadiana High principal, Nikki Broussard, a routine audit of the football player's records found that a second string player who had transferred from Texas had forged documents about his age. He's 19 years old and district policies forbid anyone over 18 from participating in high school athletics.
The Rams coach says there was a discrepancy between his birth certificate and school records.
No charges have been filed against the student.
