Fatal Crash on Hwy 90 in Lafayette

On Friday, March 15, 2013, at approximately 1:45 am, Lafayette Police responded to the intersection of East Kaliste Saloom and the SW Evangeline Thruway regarding a major crash.
Witnesses tell traffic investigators that a Ford truck traveling south on the Evangeline Thruway collided with a Chevrolet car turning left from East Kaliste Saloom onto the SE EvangelineThruway.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck received moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
