UPDATE: Fatal Crash Involving a Motorcyle Near Scott

UPDATE: State Police responded to a fatality on Highway 93 near Scott around 11:00AM. Once on the scene first responders pronounced the driver of a motorcycle, Ralph Doucet of Maurice, deceased. The driver of the other vehicle, which hit the motorcycle head-on was identified as Keith Alleman of Scott. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Alleman was under the influence of alcohol and prescription pain medication at the time of the accident. He was taken into custody, charged with vehicular homicide, DWI, and careless operation. This accident remains under investigation.

At 11:00 this morning, state police responded to a fatal accident involving a motorcyle and another vehicle. It happend on Highway 93, near The Best Stop. We have a crew on the scene and will have more information later in the day.
