Fatal Accident: Train hits Pedestrian

An update on accident in Opelousas, police have confirmed that the accident was fatal. The pedestrian is identified as 38 year old John Fitzgerald. He was hit by a train on Court Street and his body came to rest near Main Street at Highway 182. Hwy 182 is still closed in both direction.
