Famous Duggar Family Campaigning for Santorum in Louisiana

All eyes are on Louisiana for this Saturday's republican presidential primary. And in Lafayette the reality TV family the Duggars, from TLC's show "19 Kids and Counting," made an appearance at the Family Life Church to support Rick Santorum's campaign.

"It's been a long and hard campaign trail and the pundits obviously wanted this to be over in Iowa, and we said well let's go to South Carolina, let's go to Florida and so on and so on. And now here we are in Louisiana and we're still not decided," said the oldest son, Josh Duggar.

That indecision means Louisiana's primary matters more this election cycle than ever before. The Duggars hope to influence voters to choose their guy, Santorum, this Saturday.

"We're very excited to have a candidate who we know we can support whole heartedly," said daughter Jill Duggar.

Josh Duggar added, "He stands for what's right and he doesn't compromise, he doesn't take a poll to find out where he needs to stand on an issue. And he doesn't waiver."

Santorum currently has a double digit lead in the polls in Louisiana, and the Duggars hope Louisiana's primary will give Santorum the boost he needs toward the nomination.

"It hasn't been decided yet but I think Louisiana plays a key part in really being able to make a voice in the right direction," said Josh.

On Friday, the Duggar family will be making appearances with Rick Santorum at several events across the state. They'll be in West Monroe Friday morning, Shreveport in the afternoon, and then wrapping up the day in Pineville at 7:00 pm.
