Family-Friendly Mardi Gras/Kidz Zone Set

The St. Landry Parish Government in conjunction with its Children & Youth Services Planning Board will, once again, host a Family-Friendly Mardi Gras/Kidz Zone on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the Delta Grand Theater parking lot at the corner of Market Street and W. Landry. Activities will include fun jumps, face painting, and resource information along with music and refreshments - all free.

This alcohol and tobacco-free event is intended to provide a fun and safe environment for children and youth during the usually adult-oriented Mardi Gras festivities and is co-sponsored by the City of Opelousas, Opelousas City Court, Opelousas Police Department and its DARE
Program, St. Landry Parish Sheriff Department, St. Landry Parish Drug Court, Southern Development Foundation/KOCZ, Acadiana Area Human Services District, and Louisiana
Healthcare Connections.
