If you were out in Lafayette, you might have noticed a lot of gold t-shirts roaming around. Most of those shirts came in an extra small size.
More than 200 parents taxied their kids around the parish for one thing: a stamp.
"It ends up to be almost a thousand people," Jenee Broussard of Healing House said. "Running around Lafayette in gold family adventure day t-shirts."
The event benefits Healing House- raising more than $20,000 to help children with grief when they've lost a loved one.
Kids of all ages went around Lafayette for Family Adventure Day. There were more than 20 fun activities around the city.
"We took pictures and checked out the animals!" Youngster Tucker Styles said.
One activity, maybe the sweetest one of all- gave kids their favorite treats.
A fan favorite for Matthew Broussard.
"A cookie ice cream," is what he asked for.
"Families all over Acadiana could just spend the day together and make those life long memories." Jenee Broussard said. "In the end, those memories are all we have left."
