Hundreds across Acadia Parish were without power for hours.
Overnight, dealing with the power out, Angel and her daughters bundled to stay warm.
"I woke up at three this morning with no power and find that everything is frozen," said Angel Browning.
"I had two blankets on last night,"said Angel's daughter, Brittney.
It was 57 degrees inside Angel's house. Too cold to stay, she decided to stay with family.
"The only reason we didn't want to leave is because of the ice, but we have to, it's too cold for my kids," said Angel.
Eric Istre was more concerned for his sick daughter.
"She takes breathing treatments every 6 hours. She's due for one now so we're waiting for the electricity to come back on,"said Eric.
Crews were working all morning trying to get the power back on all across Acadiana.
For Brittney, there are just two things she wants.
"An omelet and a warm blanket,"she said.
