The remnants of Tropical Storm Karen have dissipated into nothing and the cold front have both moved on allowing cool, dry air to move in.
This has been the first real cold front Acadiana has seen all season, meaning we will get some of the coldest lows we've experienced since May. Lows will be down in the low 50s and the afternoon highs will be in the crisp upper 70s.
On top of the cooler temperatures a stiff breeze will be blowing out of the north, so it will be time to dust off those jackets and get ready for the rest of autumn. Despite it being cooler outside we will get more sunshine then what we've seen recently. Even fair weather clouds will be few and far between over the next several days.
This will make a nice bread from the hot and humid days of summer so make sure you try and get out to enjoy the weather.
