According to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, two men were posing as police officers in the Catahoula area near Leblanc Street. It happened around 6:10 a.m. this morning. The suspects are described as white males, early twenties, driving a dark colored
Honda Accord or similar type vehicle, with blue and red emergency lights on the dash board.

The men stopped two separate vehicles in fake traffic stops. In both instances, the driver of the fake officer exited the vehicle while the passenger stayed inside. No firearms were produced and no police insignias were on their clothing or vehicle.

if you are pulled over by a vehicle that you are uncertain is a law enforcement vehicle, pull into a well lighted and well populated area, keep your doors and windows locked and call 911 to verify the stop. The dispatcher will be able to confirm whether or not it is a legitimate stop.
