Facebook Comments Inspires Lafayette Police officer to Write Song

A police officer for the city of Lafayette has released a song he says is inspired by comments on local Facebook pages. The officer, who goes by the stage name "Maurice," recently recorded "Long Way 2 Go." He says in an interview with KJCB radio his motivation came from negative comments he had seen on KATC and other news outlets' Facebook pages. He says the posts on these pages had a lot of hatred and stereotypical comments.
