LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A former bookkeeper for two Louisiana companies has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $1.7 million from her employers.
Federal prosecutors said 32-year-old Danielle Bodin Guidroz, of Youngsville, used money she stole from Holloway Drilling Equipment Inc. and Holloway Rentals Inc. to open a "ladies boutique" shop, pay for trips, vehicles, a motorcycle and jewelry and to make
payments on personal credit cards.
Guidroz faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison following her guilty plea Wednesday in Lafayette to wire fraud charges.
Her sentencing date wasn't immediately set.
