VILLE PLATTE, La. (AP) - The Evangeline Parish School Board has approved repainting the ceiling structure in the Ville Platte High School gym and moving electrical service from beneath the stage to overhead in conduit at a cost of near $49,000.
Mike Holt, a consultant with Yeager, Watson and Associates of Alexandria, requested the change order on Wednesday in the renovation project at 70-year-old high school.
The school is undergoing a $3 million facelift as part of the district's efforts in ending its 40-year-old desegregation case.
