Still no sign of the large snake reportedly seen slithering around the Eunice area, but much like its cobra-cousin at the Bronx zoo, the Eunice snake is attracting an online following. On twitter someone created a handle for the snake: @euniceserpent.

"I relax anywhere cool & damp," reads the bio for @euniceserpent, which lists its favorite food as "small frogs with a touch of Cajun spice," and describes itself as a "misunderstood, cold-blooded fugitive with a heart of gold."

It's unclear who started the twitter account, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Meantime, Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies says initial reports of a 15-foot python roaming the streets of Eunice may have been inaccurate. He says he doesn't doubt there is a large snake in the area, but he says it's more likely a rat snake, which can grow to about 10 feet in length.
