On October 28, 2009, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff Department received information concerning a possible murder for hire. The information stemmed from an ongoing divorce battle involving a Eunice couple.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, Detectives received information that a Eunice woman wanted to hire a hit man to murder her estranged husband. Detectives set up a sting operation in an effort to gather evidence of her planned murder for hire. Through the course of the investigation, it was quickly determined that the Eunice woman was serious about hiring a hit man to murder her estranged husband.

Guidroz stated, "We learned that not only did she want her estranged husband dead, she expressed a desire to have her estranged husband's female friend killed as well. Detectives set up the meeting with the undercover officer posing as a hit man and the Eunice woman. She told the undercover hit man she would pay $8,000.00 to have him and his female friend killed.

Glynis Ann Fournerat, age 45 of University Place, Eunice, La., was charged with two counts of Solicitation for Murder and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.
