A man who initially pleaded not guilty to home invasion, simple battery, false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property and resisting an officer changed his plea in 27th Judicial District Court.
Taylor Thibodeaux, 22, took a plea and pleaded guilty to unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
Thibodeaux is accused of beating his girlfriend in 2011 at this mother's home in 2011. Police said he then took his girlfriend to his house and barricaded the two of them inside. Eventually, police tossed a gas canister through a window to get the couple out.
