A Eunice man is accused of trying to throw bleach in his ex-girlfriend's face and is now facing 6 charges, including domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Terrance Jones, 23, claimed the woman cut him with a knife, but police said they later learned Jones cut himself but blamed it on his ex-girlfriend. "During the investigation officers learned that Jones and his girlfriend broke up and he moved out of the residence a month ago. Jones went to the house and was told several times to leave and finally left then returned minutes later," Deputy Chief Varden Guillory said.
According to police, when Jones returned he tried throwing bleach on the woman and choked her in front of children. "Officers also observed bruises on the neck of the victim," Guillory said. Jones told police he initially went to the woman's house to get back his cell phone. He's charged with aggravated battery, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, home invasion, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, entering after being forbidden, and criminal damage to property. Jones is being held on a $20,500.00 bond.
